Sandy Ferrell, PJ Rizvi, Susie Dutta and Chip McKenney to Judge India Night 2015ís Dancing with the Stars: Bollywood Style!

Written by: Emily Riden
Client: Salvation Tree
Release Date: 2015-03-09

Wellington, FL – March 9, 2015 – This Thursday, March 12, four equestrians will trade in their boots and breeches for Indian saris and show off their dance moves as Dancing with the Stars: Bollywood Style makes its debut at India Night 2015!

The four dancers, Brandon Phillips, Eliane Cordia van Reesema, Ki-Juan Minors and Annabelle Garrett, have been rehearsing their moves alongside professional Indian Bollywood dancers, and on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Grande Pavilion at the International Polo Club (IPC) they’ll showdown in front of guests and four appointed judges.

Judging the inaugural competition are Susie Dutta, Sandy Ferrell, Chip McKenney and PJ Rizvi.

Dutta is an international dressage rider who divides her time between Germany and Tuny Page’s Stillpoint Farm in Wellington. Dutta and her husband, Tim, have put together a number of top dressage competition horses and are continually developing young talent. Outside of the dressage ring, Susie and Tim own and operate the well-known Dutta Corporation, an international horse transportation business.

Ferrell is one of the top hunter riders in the country, operating her own Royall Show Hunters and dividing her time between Bel Air, Maryland and Wellington, Florida. When she’s not riding to top accolades up and down the east coast, Ferrell is practicing another skill that she brings to the judging table: ballroom dancing.

McKenney is the Chief Executive Officer of Phelps Media Group and the founder of the Gay Polo League. Prior to joining Phelps Media Group, McKenney was the Chief Operations Officer of Troika Design Group, a brand consultancy and creative agency. McKenney is a lifelong horseman with extensive show experience in the jumper divisions and more recently as a rated polo player.

Rizvi is the mother of four and an avid dressage competitor who can be easily recognized by her trademark beaming smile. Rizvi currently owns and competes Breaking Dawn, ridden professionally and shown in the 2012 London Olympics by Ashley Holzer. Breaking Dawn is named after one of the Twilight movies in a nod to Rizvi’s husband Suhail’s investment in Summit Entertainment, the film studio that produced the popular Twilight saga.

About the Salvation Tree School

Equine Couture and TuffRider brand owners, Timmy and Laurie Sharma, founded the Salvation Tree School and Foundation in 2010 after recognizing the need for better education in India.

Through the Salvation Tree Foundation, Equine Couture, TuffRider and Henri de Rivel are able to provide the children of the brands employees in India with an unmatched quality of education. Each year since the school’s founding, a new grade is added as the senior-most class advances to the next one.

Equine Couture, TuffRider and Henri De Rivel have made a global commitment to donate at least three percent of the company’s proceeds to fund the mission of the Salvation Tree School, but additional funds are necessary to aid in the expansion of the school and in continuing to provide for as many students as possible.
