Partner With Timmy and Laurie Sharma to Help Grow Their School In India!

Written by: Emily Riden
Client: Salvation Tree
Release Date: 2015-03-11

Wellington, FL – March 11, 2015 – After a 2010 visit to India, Timmy and Laurie Sharma returned to Florida moved by the children they had met who were living in poverty. The Sharmas were determined to do something to make a difference in their lives, and just three short months later, the Salvation Tree School was born.

The school began providing an education, school supplies, uniforms and midday meals for 40 students. Today the Salvation Tree School and the Salvation Tree Foundation reach more than 250 children, ranging from pre-kindergarten to sixth grade students.

Until 2014, the Salvation Tree School was funded solely by the Sharmas and their company, JPC Equestrian – the manufacturer of popular equestrian brands Equine Couture, TuffRider and Henri de Rivel. Now, as the school continues to expand to educate and provide for more students, the Sharmas and the Salvation Tree Foundation need your help.

This Thursday, March 12, join in supporting the Salvation Tree Foundation at India Night 2015! The second annual fundraising event will kick off at 6:30 p.m. in the Grande Pavilion at the International Polo Club (IPC).

The Salvation Tree Foundation is breaking ground on a new school, and funds raised from India Night 2015 will go to support the expansion project necessary to continue to grow to serve and educate the students of New Delhi, India.

Tickets and tables to India Night are available online here!

Each ticket includes delicious Indian cuisine sponsored by India Bar + Grill, an open bar, dancing, live music and a seat at the inaugural Dancing with the Stars: Bollywood Style competition where equestrians Brandon Phillips, Eliane Cordia van Reesema, Ki-Juan Minors and Annabelle Garrett will show off their newly learned Bollywood skills!

All proceeds from India Night 2015 will benefit the Salvation Tree School for severely impoverished children in New Delhi, India. The Salvation Tree Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and all donations are tax deductible.

About the Salvation Tree School
Equine Couture and TuffRider brand owners Timmy and Laurie Sharma founded the Salvation Tree School and Foundation in 2010 after recognizing the need for better education in India.

Through the Salvation Tree Foundation, Equine Couture, TuffRider and Henri de Rivel are able to provide the children of the brands employees in India with an unmatched quality of education. Each year since the school’s founding, a new grade is added as the senior-most class advances to the next one.

Equine Couture, TuffRider and Henri de Rivel have made a global commitment to donate at least three percent of the companies’ proceeds to fund the mission of the Salvation Tree School, but additional funds are necessary to aid in the expansion of the school and continue to provide for as many students as possible.
