Show Where the Action Is...Reserve Your Stall Now for the 50th Anniversary Cleveland Grand Prix & Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic

Written by: Courtesy of Client
Client: Morrissey Management Group (MMG)
Release Date: 2015-04-28

Moreland Hills, Ohio - April 29, 2015- The action doesn't stop when you take off your spurs for  the day-not when you're in Cleveland, anyway. Singled out by Forbes Magazine as one of the great urban getaways, Cleveland boasts affordable and plentiful accommodations, show grounds a few miles away from major highways, LeBron James, and no shortage of things to do once you're here.

Not to mention it's home to the Cleveland Grand Prix, the Western Hemisphere's first show jumping grand prix. This year marks the 50th anniversary at the Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic, July 2 - 12.

Exhibitors can find the prize list at or

Entries close June 15.

On the show grounds, enjoy:

  •  Craft beers and ciders, Cleveland food trucks & the Food Truck Derby Charity contest
  • Boutique & artisan shopping
  • Live musical entertainment
  • Casino Night Benefit
  • Horse & Hound Relay
  • Horse Country Motor Classic vintage auto show... and more

If you want to get away for a bit, nearby is quaint Chagrin Falls, and Amish Country is 20 miles east. An equally short drive west of the show grounds is downtown Cleveland, home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum; celebrity chefs Michael Symon (James Beard Award winner, Iron Chef, host of The Chew, multiple cookbooks) and Jonathan Sawyer (Food & Wine Best New Chefs in America, 2-Stars from NY Times), whose respective flagships Lola and Greenhouse Tavern are here, just doors apart. Both are Cleveland natives, who unlike many celebrity chefs, haven't let their status lead them to overextend geographically. Both also operate more casual and less pricy

eateries here, and there are several other great choices, like the innovative Butcher and the Brewer. Around the corner is the downtown outpost of Red, The Steakhouse, one of the country's great red meat spots, sprung off from the nearby original in Cleveland's Beachwood suburb (and there's a third red hot Red in Florida's South Beach); the world famous Cleveland Museum of Art (free to the public); Little Italy; and Horseshoe Casino.

Check out a Cleveland Indian's game (home July 6 - 12); July 4 Fireworks in the Flats; Tri-C Jazzfest (July 9 - 11); Cain Park Arts Festival (July 10 - 12); and the famous West Side Market, frequented by tourists from all over the world drawn by programs produced by The Travel Channel and Food Network.

If you want more information about downtown or Chagrin Falls and points east, please ask at the Welcome Tent.

One of the nation's top charity horse shows, the 50th anniversary Cleveland Grand Prix and Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic is held at the Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field in Moreland Hills, Ohio. Admission is free on most days ($10 on July 12 for the Grand Prix) and parking is always free. Event schedules change daily at . The prize list is available at and at
