Olympian and Recent Badminton Winner William Fox-Pitt Sings the Praises of Centaur Heated Blanket Dryers

Written by: Carrie Wirth
Client: Centaur
Release Date: 2015-05-21

Wellington, FL – May 21, 2015 – Horse owners, enthusiasts and stable managers in the U.S. will now have the means for dealing with wet blankets like their counterparts in the U.K. Centaur is launching the heated blanket dryer and heated boot dryer in the U.S. after huge success in the U.K. All the top barns across the British Isles, famous for its wet and damp weather, swear by the blanket dryer. One notable fan of the product is William Fox-Pitt.

You can bet that Chilli Morning, Fox-Pitt’s winning Badminton CCI**** mount, owned by Lisa and Chris Stone, will never have to wear a wet blanket, since Wood Lane Stables got their Centaur heated blanket drier. On a chilly morning, Chilli Morning and his friends, like Bay My Hero, owned by Catherine Witt, can be turned out in a warmed blanket. And after an intense work out the Wood Lane Stables horses can don a warmed blanket to ease sore muscles.

“Centaur keeps my rugs in top condition for my horses,” said Fox-Pitt, four-time Olympian and Rolex, Badminton and Burghley winner, WEG Bronze Medalist. “As well as prolonging the life of the rugs, it also limits the number of rugs needed as wet rugs become a thing of the past! A must-have for any tack room."

Fox-Pitt was the first British rider to become eventing’s World No 1, a distinction he achieved in 2002, 2009, 2010 and again in 2014.  He has represented his country consistently over the past 16 years, winning Team Silver at the 2012 London Olympics, Team Silver at the 2004 Athens Olympics, Team Bronze at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Team Silver and Individual Bronze at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy, Individual Bronze at the 2013 European Championships in Malmo, Team Gold and Individual Silver at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, team Silver at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen, and Team Bronze at the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez.  Fox-Pitt has won seven Team Gold medals at the European Championships and has been the British No 1 eleven times.

Fox-Pitt is not the only equestrian athlete at the top of their disciplines’ rankings that have discovered the Centaur heated blanket dryer. The best of the best of the international equestrian world are believers in Centaur and have joined as ambassadors including, Olympic Gold Medalists Scott Brash and Charlotte Dujardin and Sam Griffiths, also use and endorse Centaur.

Clothes dryers are not designed with horse blankets in mind and can damage their waterproof coatings. Because the Centaur horse blanket dryer dries from the inside out, it is the safer option offering controlled drying that will protect blankets for many seasons to come.

Centaur heated horse blanket dryer is designed to keep your horse warm, dry and happy. The product dries wet or damp rugs in just a few hours in the stable or tack room, employing a similar method to a heated towel rail. A Centaur heated blanket dryer will prolong the life of expensive blankets and clothing and pays for itself over a cold and wet season.

Centaur also manufactures a boot dryer for keeping boots warm and dry. With thermostatically controlled, gentle radiant heat it maintains the shape and prolongs life of footwear.
