Der Dau To Sponsor Great Lakes Equestrian Festival

Release Date: 2015-05-28

Traverse City, MI - May 28, 2015 - Der Dau, producer of fine custom riding boots will sponsor the four-week Great Lakes Equestrian Festival in Traverse City this July. Joseph Der, President of Der Dau, enjoys the area and is excited to return.

"When we attend this show it is like we are getting a two-for-one," said Der. We get to attend a show but also get a vacation. The surrounding area is beautiful, the restaurants are amazing and the entertainment is great. It is just a wonderful experience overall."

Der Dau invites attendees to stop by their booth at Great Lakes Equestrian Festival to check out their handcrafted boots. Der Dau thinks outside the box when they design their boot styles. They offer endless options and pride themselves on the longevity of their boots.

"We designed the Dream Boot line with the life of the boot in mind, said Der. "It is constructed with a durable inner panel which increases longevity with a soft outside leg material that decreases break-in time."

Another important Der Dau innovation was creating a boot that eliminated the rider's need for using sticky spray or grip products. These products ruin the integrity of the boots.

"With the Dream 2 Grip boot there is no need for spray or grip products because the inner leg is made of a rubber panel that ensures you to have an even better grip then the sprays would give you," Der said.

The Dream 2 Grip Boot is a breakthrough in riding apparel technology. The butter-soft but extremely durable Dream 2 Grip Boot offers all of the features of the popular Dream Boot-double-paneled, inner leather lining, full-length elastic, arch support with memory foam and cemented and stitched soles-but also prevents wear and tear to the inside of the calf.

The Great Lakes Equestrian Festival is the perfect venue to prepare for this year's Pan American Games, which will be held at the Caledon Equestrian Park in Palgrave, just outside of Toronto, Canada. Show jumping during the Pan-Am Games runs from July 17- 25. The close proximity (just 430 miles) makes Great Lakes Equestrian Festival a convenient half-day drive to the Pan-Am Games venue and provides three great weeks prep time in Michigan's very similar climate. Add to that world-class course designers, including Michele Vaillancourt, Leopoldo Palacios, Bernardo Costa Cabral and Keith Bollotte, on hand to build thoughtful, innovative and challenging tracks makes Great Lakes Equestrian Festival the ideal summer competition to get ready to go for the Gold.

Stall reservations are on a first-come-first-serve basis until sold out. Reservation forms can be found at:
