Release Date: 2015-06-18

Traverse City, MI - June 18, 2015 - Keeping top quality horse shows in the state of Michigan is a highlighted priority for the staff at Quasar Industries of Rochester Hills, Michigan, which made their sponsorship of the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival this summer essentially a given.

The organization behind the scenes of this event, Show Jumping Inc., is known for consistently bringing forth the best of the best when it comes to horse show production and management. The Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, which will be held at Flintfields Horse Park just outside the popular tourist destination of Traverse City, Michigan, will definitely be no exception.

The highly anticipated festival, which is set on 88 stunning acres and showcases five world-class competition rings, will run for four consecutive weeks; July 1-5July 8-12July 15-19 and July 22-26. Each week features a weekly $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby, a $25,000 Welcome Stake, a $50,000 Grand Prix and during Week 4, a special $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby.

"Being that I'm an equestrian from Michigan, I feel a particularly strong tie to the incredible horse shows that are put on in Traverse City every year, and I'm showing my support in order to keep them going," Jessica Tygielski of Quasar Industries stated, "My pony, Rocky and Bullwinkle, is leased out to a little girl who will be showing him in the short stirrups this summer, which is why I felt particularly excited about our sponsorship of this division."

Tygielski will also be seen in the ring at the debut of year's Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, showing one of her horses in the Adult Amateurs 18-35. She has also decided to bring along another one of her younger horses to gain some mileage and experience in the schooling ring for next year's competitions.

Outside of the show ring, Tygielski can be found in the office of Quasar Industries in Rochester Hills, Michigan, as the Marketing Manager of the woman-owned business, which is certified by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council. Quasar Industries' rise to industry leader as a vastly diversified prototype and short run stamper and fabricator began with the modest start of the company's founder, Leroy Peterson who opened his original tool-and-die shop in his garage in 1967. Over 45 successful years later, Quasar boldly stands in the spotlight as a technological innovator with widely noted and continual advances in precision procedures, namely in laser processing and, most recently, hydroforming.

Laser cutting, robotic and laser welding, water jet cutting, and tube forming are just a few of the services that Quasar Industries has mastered over the years. With over 4 decades of building up their title as leaders in the global manufacturing field, Quasar Industries has become a trusted name in excellence in parts production servicing industries that include defense, automotive, appliance, aerospace and more.

Michael Morrissey, the President of Stadium Jumping, Inc., expressed his appreciation towards the team at Quasar Industries, "With the high expectations that come along with organizing top-level equestrian events, every sponsorship helps get us one step closer to meeting these standards. Quasar Industries' sponsorship of the short stirrup division is an amazing contribution, and we're so glad they've chosen this year's Great Lakes Equestrian Festival as one of their showcase events."

The Great Lakes Equestrian Festival is the perfect venue to prepare for this year's Pan American Games, which will be held at the Caledon Equestrian Park in Palgrave, just outside of Toronto, Canada. Show jumping during the Pan-Am Games runs from July 17- 25. The close proximity (just 430 miles) makes Great Lakes Equestrian Festival a convenient half-day drive to the Pan-Am Games venue and provides three great weeks prep time in Michigan's very similar climate. Add to that world-class course designers, including Michele Vaillancourt, Leopoldo Palacios, Bernardo Costa Cabral and Keith Bollotte, on hand to build thoughtful, innovative and challenging tracks makes Great Lakes Equestrian Festival the ideal summer competition to get ready to go for the Gold.
