Lewisburg, West Virginia – August 25, 2015 – Cherry Knoll Farm returned to the State Fair of West Virginia in its typical winning ways, closing out both the Open and Junior Angus competitions at the 2015 West Virginia State Fair ROV Angus Show with top results.

Logan Wright stole the limelight during the Junior Show with Cherry Knoll Lady 1356, winning the Grand Champion Cow/Calf. His success continued when he returned to the show ring with Cherry Knoll Lady 1410, winning Junior Champion Female, as well as the Reserve Grand Champion Female. Sister, Lexi Wright, showed Cherry Knoll Cheyenne 1449 to the Reserve Champion Intermediate Female to close out the Junior Show.

During the Open Show, Cherry Knoll Farm kicked the competition up a notch. Claudia Hissong started the drive to Kansas State University, but decided to make a pit stop at the State Fair of West Virginia to show her cow/calf pair. Cherry Knoll Rosebud 1331 ended up winning the Grand Champion Cow/Calf with the top marks. Hissong also showed Miss Rosebud to win the Junior Calf Championship. It was the perfect moment for Cherry Knoll Farm, as they were able to wish Hissong good luck in her transition into college. The State Fair of West Virginia marked her last show before her freshman year of college.

The Cherry Knoll Farm team showed no signs of stopping as David Smith showed Cherry Knoll Elsa 1472 to win the Senior Calf Championship. Two more purple ribbons were added to their list of accolades with Lexi Wright showing Cherry Knoll Cheyenne 1449 to win the Intermediate Champion Heifer division. While Logan wrapped up the Open Show with Cherry Knoll Lady 1410 winning the Reserve Champion Heifer title.

Cherry Knoll Brigade 1404 was named Grand Champion Bull, with Brody Fitzgerald at the helm of the showing success. Logan Wright led Wright CKF Product to the Reserve Junior Bull Championship.

Cherry Knoll Farm is home to owners Bob and Margaret Duprey. Margaret’s passion for livestock comes together in the love of her top quality herd of Angus cattle as well as Grand Prix dressage horses and top-tier show jumpers. The Dupreys own their West Grove, PA, farm as well as a beautiful stable for their horses in Wellington, FL, where Margaret competes during the winter.

Only one week prior to the State Fair of West Virginia, Andretti S, international grand prix show jumping horse, took the second place finish in San Giovani, Italy, with Olympian Laura Kraut showing him in the six-bar competition. Kraut is currently preparing her string of top horses, including Cherry Knoll Farm’s Constable, for the American Gold Cup, set to take place in Old Salem, New York, on Set. 9-13, 2015.

The Cherry Knoll operation is managed utilizing time-proven beef cattle production practices combined with progressive genetics and technology.  Unbeatable customer service and a reputation for honesty and integrity complete the Cherry Knoll brand.  For more information, please visit Cherry Knoll Farm’s website at
