Theypermanently relocated their training business, The Bryan Center, to Florida in 2011 and chose Dr. Oakley to be their regular performance vet.

"Suzan is amazing at diagnosing and treating even the most subtle and elusive performance lameness," said Todd Bryan. "In this way, we can address small issues before they ever have the chance to become larger ones."
As dressage professionals, the Bryans said it is important to them to keep their horses sound and happy well into their teenage years.
"We feel that that Dr. Oakley's keen eye and knowledge, as well as her expertise in alternative therapies, gives us a competitive edge. She is the first vet we recommend to our friends and clients," said Todd.
Through a whole-horse approach, Wellington Equine Sports Medicine veterinarians Oakley and Anne Moretta, VMD, MS, a 30-year equine sports medicine veteran with advanced training in acupuncture, in conjunction with Dr. Sheila Schils, an innovator in equine rehabilitation, evaluate each horse and design a treatment plan that often combines medical and physical therapies, as well as training exercises.
The practice offers supplemental services, such as acupuncture and Functional Electronic Stimulation (FES), which has proven highly effective for equine athletes. Dr. Schils, a developer in the use of FES in horses, utilizes the science of physical therapy to develop specific exercises, both in hand and under saddle, to aid in the rehabilitation process and prevent future injuries.
Wellington Equine Sports Medicine offers a new approach to specialized care, consulting, and referral services for dressage, hunter/jumper, polo and Western sport horses in Wellington, the US, and Europe.
