Release Date: 2016-01-20

Wellington, FL – January 21, 2016 – Week 1 of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival in Wellington came to a close on Sunday, January 17. Cherry Knoll Farm horses are no strangers to the competition, and professional trainer and international dressage rider Todd Flettrich rode one of Cherry Knoll Farm’s own, Betty, to win the Training Level Test 3 on Saturday, January 16.

Flettrich, an FEI level Olympic rider has coached some of the world’s top international dressage riders and horses. Flettrich has ridden Cherry Knoll Farm horses in the past, qualifying as an alternate for the US Dressage Team in 2012 with Cherry Knoll Farm’s Otto.

In the Training Level Test 3, Flettrich rode a stunning test and finished with a score of 74.773. His mount Betty is a 17-hand KWPN mare owned and bred by Cherry Knoll Farm. At only 5 years old, this is the competitive debut for the mare.

“Betty is very special to me because she is home-bred,” Flettrich said. “I have ridden her siblings and many of them have competed Grand Prix. Betty has an extremely talented walk and canter, and a super hind leg in the trot. With training and development, I know she will reach her potential.”

“Betty’s canter is her most talented gait and her gift,” Flettrich concluded. “I am aiming for the Markel/USEF Young Horse Dressage National Championships, for the5-Year-Old Championship.”

Competition at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival continues through March 2016 with the top riders competing at the CDI international and national levels. Cherry Knoll Farm will continue to showcase their mounts throughout the duration of competition. For more information on Cherry Knoll Farm and Todd Flettrich, please visit
