Anne’s Night Brings Music of Africa, The Voice and More to Wellington March 6

Written by: Emily Riden
Client: Anne's Night
Release Date: 2016-02-24

Wellington, Fla. – Feb. 25, 2016 – As Anne’s Night debuts in Wellington, Florida, Sunday, March 6, the event brings with it the incredible flavors and feel of Africa, and the sounds of outstanding musical talents: Positively Africa, Blessing Offor and Brendan Fallis.

The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. within the spectacular safari-themed atmosphere, created by event designer and manager, Sheila Motley, and situated on the spacious grass fields of Double H Farm. Florida’s premier African band, Positively Africa, will open the evening as they import African culture and music in a package full of fun and excitement.

The music of Positively Africa is vibrant, exciting, wholesome, informative and perfect to get down and dance! Lead singer and founder, Julius Sanna, was born in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, before moving to the United States. Sanna is on a quest to blend all of his musical influences and paint them with African colors, which is the musical foundation of Positively Africa today.

Next on the incredible line-up of Anne’s Night entertainment is Blessing Offor. Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, but born in Nigeria, Offor has the ability to drop the crowd’s jaws from simply listening to him sing and play the piano. Offor’s voice and ability is outstanding and inspiring on its own, but his story makes it even more so as Offor is completely blind.

Offor first delved into learning music as a means of adjusting to total blindness — creating an outlet to connect with the world socially.  Today, Offor’s abilities have expanded into songwriting on both piano and guitar, and his talent has not gone unnoticed. Offor was a contestant on season seven of The Voice and made all four judge’s seats turn during his audition.

As Anne’s Night unfolds, the evening will completely transform into a nightclub lounge atmosphere, as DJ Brendan Fallis takes over, allowing guests to dance into the night.

Fallis has quickly become one of the most sought after open-format DJ’s worldwide thanks to his exceptional ability to read a crowd, his incredible taste in music and his coveted style. He has provided music for some of the most high-profile events and campaigns around the globe for clients such as Absolut, GQ, Balmain, Louis Vuitton and RedBull, among others.

The entertainment line-up is just one component of the incredible evening, held in memory of Anne Heyman and benefitting the Agahozo Shalom Youth Village and Uraydi’s Village.
