Wellington, FL – March 28, 2016 – The team at Messenger Hill Farm has not slowed down since the start of the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). Under the top-quality training and unparalleled dedication of head trainers, Freddie and Jodi Vazquez, riders have continued to claim top honors during the final weeks of this prestigious circuit.

The partnership of Jodi and Freddie Vazquez has fostered an environment where students can develop, hone their skills, and reach their goals. Messenger Hill Farm’s quality care and stable management constantly produces top-notch performance hunter and jumper horses that always impress in the show ring.

One of Messenger Hill Farm’s top junior riders, 9-year-old Chloe Jhin, has been a jack-of-all-trades throughout WEF, bouncing between rings and changing mounts. Jhin applied her adaptive talents in the Low Children’s Hunter 2’6’’ division, riding both Trousseau and Modigliani during week 10. On Trousseau, Jhin took away two fourths and the first, and won a second, fifth, and eighth on Modigliani.

Not only does Jhin dominate the hunter rings, but she is also a top show jumping competitor. Under the kind nurture of Freddie and Jodi, Jhin has learned valuable skills in her few years of competing, translating into ribbons in the show ring. Jhin rode two different horses in the Low Child/Adult training jumper, winning a first and third on Serendipity and a sixth on Liberty during week 10 among steep competitors, some of whom are upwards of five times her age.

Following those performances, Jhin learned from her mistakes and came back the next week stronger than ever, sweeping the division tricolors. Jhin received the Low Child/Adult Training Jumper Championship, and made a clean sweep of the division aboard reliable mount Serendipity. She also captured the reserve championship with Liberty during week 11. Jhin currently sits in second place for the circuit standings with 239 points.

In week 10, Cynthia Baffa rode for Messenger Hill aboard Marneux in the Low Adult Hunter 2’6’’ division. Baffa came away with strong placings, putting in nice rounds. Messenger Hill trainer, Jodi Vazquez, also rode Marneux to top honors while competing in the WEF Open 3’3” Hunter division.

Jodi also rode Modigliani in the WEF Open 3’3’’ Hunter division, ending with two strong rides, and the reserve championship title for the second week in a row. The pair has taken the division by storm, and they currently rank first with 221 points in the circuit standings. In the Green Conformation Hunters, she piloted recent mount, Hula Hoop, to the winner’s circle during week 10.

Freddie Vazquez continues to build strength in his partnerships with top mounts Bachelor 4 and Esprit De Vie in the highest level of competition WEF has to offer including the $86,000 Suncast 1.50m Championship, the $35,000 FEI Illustrated Properties 1.45m class and the $35,000 WEF Challenge Cup. Freddie rode Bachelor 4 to the third place finish in the $6,000 Illustrated Properties 1.40m Open Jumpers, and also finished twelfth out of 60 contenders in the $35,000 FEI Illustrated Properties 1.45m.

The Messenger Hill Farm team is ready to face WEF Week 12 head-on to end a very successful circuit on a continued high note.
