Prize lists available for June Country Heir I & II at Kentucky Horse Park June 8-19, 2016

Written by: Kenneth Kraus
Client: Country Heir Horse Show http://www.countryheir.com
Release Date: 2016-03-31

Lexington, KY – March 31, 2016 – The new management team at this summer Country Heir Horse Shows announced today that prize lists for their June shows are now available online for download at www.CountryHeir.com.

The Country Heir I and II Horse Shows have been a tradition at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, for more than 20 years. Recently, Ohioan Frankie Stark, who owns the dates to the two shows, decided to enhance the future direction of these two long running, popular weeks by hiring Tucker Ericson and JP Bordeleau as the new management team. Both Ericson and Bordeleau have spent years at the helm of some of the nation’s finest equestrian events.

With 2016 preparations well underway, entries are now being accepted at: www.horseshowing.com for this year’s events.

Each year Country Heir hires some of the most highly sought after hunter judges in the industry. Our panel for 2016 is no exception and includes:

Week I: Creigh Duncan, Scott Fitton, Bobbie Reber, Andrea Wells and Scott Williamson

Week II: Eric Dirks, Alan Lohman, Robin Swinderman, Sharon Stewart Wells, and Chris Wynne

For the 2016 season, the Country Heir shows will feature two exciting new concepts, both created with the exhibitors and their friends and families in mind. The first new addition is an unrecognized Local day, to be held on Tuesday June 14. The cost effective Local Day will enable trainers to spend time with beginner riders or their green horses in the ring. Entries for local day are also available on www.horseshowing.com. The competition will take place in the Murphy arena on the Tuesday between the two AA rated competitions.

The second addition, an all-new Sponsors and Exhibitors Hospitality Pavilion that will be open daily from 7am until 6pm and will host a continental breakfast, daily cocktails and hors d’oerves, and comfortable lounge seating.

Take advantage of the opportunity to fine tune your Derby skills in the same arena as the International Derby Finals, two months later.

Children and Adult Jumper riders will be riding for more prize money in 2016! The team at Country Heir has split the weekly classics, thus allowing for a $10,000 class each week for adults and a separate $10,000 classic for children.

Other highlights in 2016 include:

$40,000 Week I Grand Prix
$50,000 Week II Grand Prix
