Release Date: 2016-04-08

Lexington, Ky. – April 8, 2016 – The premier horse show management company, Kentucky Horse Shows LLC, is proud to recognize sponsors of the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows CSI3* series. Dates for the spring series include the Kentucky Spring Horse Show on May 11–15, and the Kentucky Spring Classic held May 18–22 at the Kentucky Horse Park, host of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™. These shows would not be possible without their many generous sponsors including Hagyard Equine Medical Institute, Hollow Creek Farm, CWD, Hallway Feeds, Audi of Lexington, FarmVet, Johnson Horse Transportation, Visse Wedell, Dietrich Equine Insurance Services, TAKE2 Second Career Thoroughbred Program Inc., Equestrian Services International (ESI Footing), GGT Footing, Winners Circle Trailer Sales and Service and the official hotel, the Clarion.

Hagyard Equine Medical Institute is one of the oldest and largest equine veterinary practices in the world. Founded in 1876, the institute offers a staff with qualifications unparalleled by any single non-university veterinary group in the equine industry. Hagyard veterinarians have dedicated themselves to the health and well being of the horse. Once again, the Hagyard Equine Medical Institute will be sponsoring the seven part Hagyard Challenge series, which concludes with the presentation of the Hagyard Leading Rider Bonus. They will also sponsor the $35,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic CSI3* held on Thursday during both weeks of competition.

Hollow Creek Farm will be returning to the Kentucky Spring Horse Show as a sponsor for the $130,000 Hollow Creek Farm CSI3* Grand Prix to be held on Saturday, May 14, in the Rolex Stadium at 6:30 p.m.

Hollow Creek Farm is a world-class show jumping facility that is home to Emanuel Andrade of Venezuela. Andrade has successfully represented his country at the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ in Normandy, France, as well as at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada, where he was involved in a jump-off for the individual bronze medal. He is a long-time supporter of equestrian sport at the Kentucky Horse Park.

Furthermore, CWD will be coming back as a sponsor for the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows series in 2016. CWD is the number one French performance saddle and is partnered with the world's top riders such as McLain Ward, Scott Brash and Kent Farrington. CWD combines new technologies with cutting edge materials to create high quality saddles such as the new 2Gs saddle — a product of ingeniously modified DNA that pushes the limits of performance. CWD will be onsite at the Kentucky Horse Park throughout the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows series to assist riders in finding their perfect saddle.

"We are very happy to be part of the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows series as this event is an unavoidable rendezvous for all horse lovers!" said Bertrand Pelletier of CWD. "It will be an opportunity for us to share our sport obsession with others."

Hallway Feeds is another returning presenting sponsor of the $40,000 Hallway Feeds USHJA National Hunter Derby series, which is made up of five $5,000 National Derbies, as well as the $15,000 Hallway Feeds Leading Rider Bonus.

Hallway Feeds' close proximity to the Kentucky Horse Park provides ample opportunity to utilize the freshest feed manufactured with time-honored commitments to high standards of quality and the latest scientific advancements. Combining a premium nutrition package with a professional level of dedication in horsemen and women provides equine athletes with the formula for success.

Audi of Lexington will be returning as the presenting sponsor for featured national classes, the $50,000 Commonwealth Grand Prix during the Kentucky Spring Horse Show and the $50,000 Bluegrass Grand Prix during the Kentucky Spring Classic. The company will also continue its generous support of the $10,000 Show Jumping Hall of Fame (SJHOF) Amateur-Owner Jumper High Classic during both weeks of competition.

Audi of Lexington offers many automotive products and services to their Lexington area customers. With quality new Audis to used cars, anyone can find the car, truck or SUV that they are looking for at Audi of Lexington.

Alex Boone of Audi of Lexington said, "We are proud to be associated with the show and show managers of this quality. We appreciate what they do for the horse and non-horse community of central Kentucky. In particular, we love its location in Lexington."

FarmVet has been coming to the Kentucky Horse Shows as a vendor since its inception. This will be its eighth year as a sponsor. Christian Currey, president of FarmVet, said, "FarmVet is happy to be a sponsor of the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows series because of the quality of competition and fantastic facilities. Our customers really enjoy Lexington and we are happy to be here to service them. We provide pharmacy and barn supplies at competitive prices to our customers' door steps."

As the premier source for animal health products and supplies, FarmVet offers a large selection of equine and pet products including health supplements, horse grooming supplies and barn equipment.

Johnson Horse Transportation is also a returning sponsor for 2016, supporting the $10,000 SJHOF Junior Jumper High Classic during both weeks of competition.

Johnson Horse Transportation is an equestrian shipping company that provides timely and safe transportation for show horses. DJ Johnson, owner of Johnson Horse Transportation, said, "As always, I think the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows series is obviously a great horse show just by looking at their turnout. There are big numbers of horses and a great group of horses and trainers. Not only is it a great place to show, but Lexington also is a great city."

Johnson added, "I think Kentucky Horse Shows puts on a great horse show and people keep coming back. We are glad to be able to have our customers come into the show and do a sponsorship with the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows series."

Kentucky Horse Shows is also excited to announce the return of the grand championship awards for 2016 sponsored by Visse Wedell at Douglas Elliman Real Estate. Wedell strongly believes in recognizing the accomplishments of horses and riders, which is why she will offer grand champion prizes in Professional Hunter, Junior Hunter, Amateur-Owner Hunter, Children's Hunter, Adult Hunter and Pony Hunter divisions.

"The hunters are a passion for me, and I believe that rewarding the best in each category is very important," said Wedell. "It is a great way to recognize everyone's hard work. I still remember going into the ring and receiving the award with Legal Tender in Kentucky. Outside of major championships like at indoors and Devon, there are very few shows that offer these overall awards and Kentucky remains a world-class facility with world-class competitors. It is important to see these high-point earners recognized for their efforts."

Licensed in both Florida and Kentucky, Wedell will be at the shows in Lexington all season. Those in the market to buy, sell or lease properties in Kentucky or Florida can turn to Wedell as a knowledgeable equestrian real estate agent.

Dietrich Equine Insurance Services will be the presenting sponsor for the $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby held during the Kentucky Spring Horse Show on Sunday, May 15. The company offers the sport horse community numerous comprehensive equine-related insurance products. By staying abreast to the latest market trends, Dietrich Insurance is able to provide programs that are accommodating to individual requirements through qualified companies at competitive premium prices.

Shawna Dietrich, founder of Dietrich & Company Equine Insurance Services, said, "I am pleased to support such lovely horse shows in my own back yard."

Dietrich Insurance is located in Pewee Valley, Kentucky, and has been sponsoring the Kentucky Horse Shows for over seven years.

TAKE2 Second Career Thoroughbred Program Inc. will once again be sponsoring the TAKE2 Thoroughbred hunter and jumper divisions, which will be offered during both weeks of the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows series. The 501(c)(3) organization and program promotes new careers for retired racehorses and awards $30,000 in year-end high-score awards paid out to tenth place.

"The Kentucky Spring Horse Shows series is a great event in the heart of Thoroughbred country, which is why the TAKE2 Second Career Thoroughbred Program is a perfect fit," said TAKE2 President Rick Violette. "What better place could there be to showcase how beautifully retired racehorses make the transition from the track to the show ring?"

Equestrian Services International (ESI Footing) and GGT Footing are also sponsoring the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows series with their state-of-the-art and world-class footing products and services at affordable prices.

Winners Circle Trailer Sales and Service is the official trailer sponsor of the Kentucky Horse Park and is sponsoring the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows series.
