Wellington, Fla. - April 7, 2016 - As the season comes to a close in Wellington, Florida, the team at Messenger Hill Farm celebrates 12 weeks of success during the prestigious Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). Under the top-quality training and unparalleled dedication of head trainers, Freddie and Jodi Vazquez, riders have continued to claim top honors during the final weeks of this world-class circuit, and their hard work was solidified with numerous circuit championships.

The partnership of Jodi and Freddie Vazquez has fostered an environment where students can develop their skills to reach their goals. Messenger Hill Farm's quality care and stable management constantly produces top-notch performance hunter and jumper horses that always impress in the show ring.

One of Messenger Hill Farm's top child riders, 9-year-old Chloe Jhin, has been a jack-of-all-trades throughout WEF, bouncing between rings and changing mounts. Jhin secured the Engel & Völkers Low 2'6" Children's Hunter Circuit Championship with Modigliani, finishing the circuit with 421 points.

Not only does Jhin dominate the hunter rings, she is also a top show jumping competitor. Under the training of Freddie and Jodi, Jhin has learned valuable skills in her few years of competing, translating into ribbons in the show ring. She secured the Low Child/Adult Training Jumper Circuit Championship with Serendipity, clinching the cumulative first place with 337 points, and ranking fifth with Liberty.

Jodi picked up the reins on Modigliani in the WEF 3'3" Open Hunter division, ending with two strong rides, and the reserve championship title for the second week in a row during WEF 10. Her fantastic rounds allowed for her to clinch the Derby Gold Equine Shavings WEF 3'3" Open Hunter Circuit Reserve Championship with 221 points.

Success was abundant for the Messenger Hill Farm team during the final weeks of WEF. During WEF Week 10, Jodi piloted Hula Hoop to good ribbons in the Green Conformation Hunters, and she is looking ahead to a bright future with the recent mount. Jhin continued to sweep the divisions with strong rides on Modigliani and Trousseau, while Cynthia Baffa rode for Messenger Hill aboard Marneux in the Low Adult 2'6" Hunter division. Baffa came away with strong placings, and Jodi duplicated those efforts during the WEF Open 3'3" Hunter division where she rode Marneux to top pinnings. Alexandra Maracic rode At Last during the final week of WEF to the fourth and second place finishes over fences, as well as the fourth place in the under saddle during the Adult 3' Equitation, finishing fourth overall in circuit points.

During WEF Week 11, Freddie Vazquez continued to build strength in his partnerships with top mounts Bachelor 4 and Esprit De Vie in the highest level of competition WEF has to offer including the $86,000 Suncast 1.50m Championship, the $35,000 FEI Illustrated Properties 1.45m class and the $35,000 WEF Challenge Cup. Freddie rode Bachelor 4 to the third place finish in the $6,000 Illustrated Properties 1.40m Open Jumpers, and also finished 12th out of 60 contenders in the $35,000 FEI Illustrated Properties 1.45m.

In the final week of competition, Pony Island was buzzing with excitement as Messenger Hill Farm stole the limelight. Elodie Watrous finished first over fences and nabbed the third place in the under saddle with Shimmer during the Short Stirrup Hunters. She returned with Sugarbrook Game Plan to capture the first and fourth place ribbons over fences. Elodie ranked fifth in the Younger Cross Rail Hunters with Sugarbrook Game Plan in the final circuit points, and clinched the Reserve Circuit Championship with Shimmer for the Palm Beach Riding Academy Short Stirrup Opportunity Hunters.

Her sister Chloe finished out the 12 weeks with the eighth place overall in the Autism Speaks Small/Medium Children's Hunter Pony. She ended the show season with a final first place finish over fences with Sugarbrook Game Plan, while barnmate Alexandra Lynn Willner rode Primrose to the second place finish out of a field of 20 in the WIHS Pony Equitation.
