The Nature Conservancy Joins Monmouth at the Team for Inaugural Event at Hamilton Farm

Written by: Kenneth Kraus
Client: Monmouth at the Team
Release Date: 2016-07-06

Gladstone, N.J. – July 6, 2016 – Monmouth at the Team is proud to announce its affiliation with The Nature Conservancy for this year’s inaugural event at Hamilton Farm, headquarters of the
United States Equestrian Team (USET) Foundation in beautiful Gladstone, New Jersey. While this is the introductory event for the Monmouth at the Team, the show itself, formerly known as the Monmouth County Horse Show, is steeped in history. It is one of the longest continuously run horse shows in America. Reborn in Gladstone, Monmouth at the Team is scheduled for August 15–21. This year’s debut will offer a full array of hunter, jumper and equitation classes plus featured hunter derbies, a Mini-Prix and more!

The Nature Conservancy is a leading conservation organization working around the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people. To date, the Conservancy and its more than one million members have helped protect 130 million acres worldwide, including more than 55,000 in New Jersey alone. The Nature Conservancy in New Jersey is active in the state’s forests, coasts and waterways so that the state’s natural resources can be enjoyed by all now and for years to come.

“I’m so excited that this sponsorship came together! What a perfect match-up between sponsor and event,” noted Tucker Ericson, who, along with Michael Dowling, owns and manages the event. “I can’t think of one thing that is more significant and vital for equestrians all over the world than clean, fresh and readily available drinking water as well as caring for and protecting our wide open spaces. Caring for our fragile ecosystem should be a top priority for any horseman and I’m thrilled that The Nature Conservancy is part of the family here at Monmouth at the Team to help pound that message home.”

“With an office right up the street from the USET Foundation, The Nature Conservancy is excited to be a part of the first-ever Monmouth at the Team horse show,” said Barbara Brummer, New Jersey state director of The Nature Conservancy. “We know that most equestrians have a great appreciation of nature as well as a singular generosity for giving. Our team will be on the ground all week to share the details of the exciting work we are doing in New Jersey and around the world with as many people as we can.”
“The Nature Conservancy is protecting and restoring areas that matter to the attendees of the Monmouth at the Team horse show — marshes and beaches of the beloved New Jersey shoreline, Northern and Southern lands and forests that clean air and provide habitat for wildlife as well as drinking water sources like the Delaware River,” Brummer continued. “We are a member-funded organization that needs advocacy and support to continue our critical conservation work. We hope everyone will stop by our table — not just for the fun prizes and giveaways — but also to learn more about our important projects in New Jersey and around the globe. Our local and sustainable cocktail party on Thursday afternoon will also be a great time!”
