Release Date: 2016-08-12

Gladstone, N.J. – August 12, 2016 – The kick-off for the 2016 Monmouth at the Team Horse Show is just a few short days away, and the New Jersey equestrian community is excited for its debut. The longest continuously run horse show in America, the Monmouth County Horse Show, has now become Monmouth at the Team and is held at the historic Hamilton Farm, home of the United States Equestrian Team (USET) Foundation. Scheduled for Aug. 15-21, the competition will feature a full array of hunter, jumper and equitation classes plus featured hunter derbies and much more.

The excitement for this new event is really beginning to grow, and a good crowd of both competitors and spectators are expected during the six-day run. The prize list for the event and the new website are available now. While entries for the hunter divisions have closed, jumper entries are still being accepted at

Sponsors within the local community have been stepping up in a big way to show their support for Monmouth at the Team. The Nature Conservancy is giving away a GoPro HERO camera to one lucky individual to raise awareness for their cause and support Monmouth at the Team. Sign up today by clicking here.

In addition to the exceptional competition, look for equally exciting hospitality throughout the week. The hospitality tent will open Monday, Aug. 15, at 12 p.m. Then, for the balance of the show, Tuesday through Sunday, it will open at 7 a.m., serving a continental breakfast. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served every afternoon followed by an evening theme party with live music.

On Monday, the show will feature a fun pizza party and cocktails event from 5-7 p.m. Two events highlight the Tuesday hospitality schedule including a mid-morning brunch, sponsored by the Driscoll Family, beginning at 10 a.m. As the show day draws to a close Tuesday, look for a fun, Mexican-themed party, sponsored by Mountain Pointe Equine Vet Services, during the late afternoon and early evening.

For Wednesday, CWD Sellier steps up to the plate to present a BBQ picnic. Meanwhile, on Thursday, look for a unique evening of local New Jersey sustainable food, sponsored by The Nature Conservancy, during the $10,000 Hunter Derby.

The weekend festivities begin Friday with a bunch sponsored by Beval Saddlery, followed by a   Louisiana Mardi Gras-style party, sponsored by Devoucoux, during the $5,000 Manhattan Saddlery Welcome Stake. In addition, Saturday and Sunday will both feature a delicious brunch. Tito's Handmade Vodka sponsors Saturday's brunch, while Do Trot in Tack Shop sponsors Sunday's.

On Saturday, look for the Kentucky Derby Day at the Races party, sponsored by The Tack Shelter. Sunday's hospitality highlight includes a mid-afternoon Italian menu meal, sponsored by Equine Billing Services, during the $10,000 Horseflight 1.30m Jumper Mini-Prix.

If you would like to plan something a bit more intimate and private, or maybe a daily lunch at your tack room, feel free to call in your special catering orders. Your individual requests can be placed with Chive and Thyme Catering by emailing or or calling 908-788-3030.
