Kentucky Horse Shows Announce Current Standings for Hagyard Challenge Series Rider Bonus

Lexington, KY – July 30, 2007 – The Hagyard Challenge Series will continue this week at the Kentucky Summer Horse Shows, held at the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. A series of seven major show jumping competitions, the series offers $170,000 in prize money and an overall Hagyard Challenge Series rider bonus of $30,000. The final event of the series, the $50,000 World Cup qualifying grand prix, is scheduled for the Kentucky National Indoor Horse Show on September 28, 2007. This year, the rider bonus will be awarded to the leading rider of the summer-long succession of classes.

The Kentucky Summer Horse Show will be held from August 1-5, 2007, with the $25,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic Grand Prix scheduled for Thursday, August 2, in the Sheila C. Johnson Arena. The Kentucky Summer Classic follows the week of August 8-12, and the Hagyard Challenge Series event will be held on Thursday, August 9.

After the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows and two Hagyard Challenge Series grand prix classes, Kent Farrington and Ainsley Vince are tied for the top spot with their prize money totaling $9,000. Molly Ashe-Cawley is not far behind with $8,400, and Katie Prudent and Lauren Hough are tied with $6,600. Jimmy Torano and Christine McCrea currently have $2,400, and Cara Raether and Margie Engle are equally ranked with $1,800. Mark Leone, Debbie Stephens, and Caitlyn Sheils each amassed $1,500, and Jonathan McCrea is currently tied with Robert Kraut and Robin Sweeley, who have each won $1,200. Also listed in the standings are Nicole Simpson, Nona Garson, and Kevin Babington, each with $900, and Ljubov Kochetova and Ali Wolff with $600.

The Hagyard Challenge Series and Leading Rider Bonus are made possible through the support of the Hagyard Equine Medical Institute and additional gracious supporters. What:
Two of the nation’s premier equestrian competitions, featuring four grand prix classes, one of which is sanctioned by the American Grand Prix Association. Both shows are member events of the Washington International Horse Show Championships and the 2007 North American League finals.

The Kentucky Summer Horse Shows proudly host the Hagyard Challenge Series, which offers $170,000 in prize money. This series features seven grand prix events throughout the summer at the Kentucky Horse Park and is made possible by the sponsorship of the Hagyard Equine Medical Institute.

Admission:
Admission is free to the public. The Kentucky Horse Park charges a $3.00 parking fee.

Parking:
The Kentucky Horse Park charges a $3.00 daily parking fee. Horse Show Exhibitors may
purchase a weekly parking pass at the main Horse Park entrance for $5.00.

VIP Table Seating:
Front row reserved tables of eight will be available each week in the Mesker Pavilion at the Johnson Ring at a price of $500 per week and will entitle you and your guests to VIP seating for the $40,000 Kentucky Summer Grand Prix on Saturday evening, August 4th and the $40,000 Kentucky Classic Grand Prix on Saturday evening, August 11th. Wristbands and VIP parking passes will be available in the Show Office.

The Kentucky Horse Park is located 8 miles northeast of Lexington, Kentucky, at Exit 120 on Interstate 75.

All outdoor competition arenas and schooling areas consist of a limesand base and mortar sand cushion. The Indoor Arena consists of sand and loam. The dimensions of the competition areas are as follows:
