Kentucky Horse Shows Announces Current Hagyard Challenge Series Standings

Lexington, KY – September 7, 2007 – Kentucky Horse Shows LLC is pleased to announce the latest Hagyard Challenge Series standings. The Hagyard Challenge Series is a series of seven show jumping events held throughout the summer at the Kentucky Horse Park.

The challenge offers $170,000 in prize money and will present the top rider with a $30,000 Leading Rider Bonus after the succession of classes come to an end.
After six events held this year at the Kentucky Horse Park, the final event, the $50,000 World Cup qualifying grand prix, is scheduled for September 28, 2007, at the Kentucky National Indoor Horse Show.

Debbie Stephens is currently leading the way with a total of $17,000 in prize money. Kent Farrington and Ainsley Vince are tied for second place with $9,000, and Molly Ashe-Cawley ranks in fourth with $8,400. Margie Engle sits in fifth with a total of $7,300, and Lauren Hough and Katie Prudent are both tied for sixth with $6,600. Marilyn Little is in the eighth position with $5,500, and Robert Kraut’s total of $3,400 places him in ninth. Colin Syquia occupies the tenth spot with $3,300.

The challenge is made possible through the support of the Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. Other generous sponsors who contribute to the Kentucky Horse Shows and the Leading Rider Bonus include: Dean, Dorton, & Ford, Fifth Third Bank, Fort Dodge, Hagyard Pharmacy, Griffin Gate Marriott Resort & Spa and Turf Town Properties.
