EquestrianCoach.com Releases Five New Video Topics Featuring Some of the Best in the Business

Written by: Carrie Wirth
Client: Bernie Traurig and EquestrianCoach.com http://www.equestriancoach.com/
Release Date: 2012-03-19

Wellington, FL- March 19, 2012- This month Bernie Traurig continues to offer a wealth of new information on his high-impact, ever-expanding educational site, EquestrianCoach.com. Five new topics have been added to this valuable horseman’s online resource.

Traurig presents his topic on backing issues. He asks the following questions: Does your horse freeze when you ask him to back up? Perhaps he raises his head to evade the command and backs awkwardly with his head too high? Does your horse back crookedly or tense up in anticipation of a back or is he simply confused by what you are asking of him? According to Traurig, “Solving backing problems brings you one step closer to improving all your downward transitions, not to mention, your horse’s mouth.”

The next topic new to EquestrianCoach.com showcases the renowned equitation trainer and Guest Coach, Missy Clark. Clark and her students, all top riders, Darragh Kenny, Charlotte Jacobs, Michael Hughes, Victoria Colvin and Madison Brayman test and evaluate five young horses to determine their suitability and aptitude for the equitation division.

In another new segment, rider, judge, clinician and Guest Coach, Cynthia Hankins shares her insights into some of the common bad habits riders inadvertently develop. In addition to pointing out the position mistakes she often sees while judging, Hankins demonstrates the correct, classical form in accordance with the American Hunter/Jumper Forward Riding System.

As horsemen it is critical to be aware of issues with the horse’s back. Top sport horse veterinarians and back specialists, Geoff Vernon DVM and Rob Boswell DVM, discuss the various back problems that can develop in horses. Boswell and Vernon provide advice on how to recognize back pain in the horse. They also discuss treatment options, from the most high-tech to over-the-counter remedies.

The fifth new topic is the third in the Walking the Course Series: "Walking A Grand Prix Course From The Course Designer's Perspective." The segment features Olympic, World Cup and World Equestrian Games Course Designer, Olaf Petersen, Sr. Petersen walks us, obstacle by obstacle, through one of his technical Grand Prix courses at the Winter Equestrian Festival. For other topics featuring courses and course walking, look for Leopoldo Palacios' videos Walking The Grand Prix Course With Leopoldo Palacios Parts One and Two on EquestrianCoach.com.

EquestrianCoach.com is an online education service that provides systematic, online "lessons" presented by Bernie Traurig and a host of world-class trainers and competitors, including Rodrigo Pessoa, Eric Lamaze, Laura Kraut, Missy Clark, Peter Pletcher, Louise Serio, Julie Winkel and many more.
