Release Date: 2012-05-02

Wellington, FL- May 2, 2012- Lionshare Farm recently announced their show season schedule. Owned and operated by Olympic Silver Medalist, Peter Leone and his wife, Marcella, Lionshare Farm is known for its beautiful facilities and warm and welcoming atmosphere. The top-notch training staff including Leone, renowned horseman, Michael Henaghan and Elizabeth Pandich work together to develop personalized training programs for horse and rider, alike.

Michael Henaghan brings a wealth of experience to Lionshare Farm. A popular clinician, Henaghan has trained many of today’s greatest equestrian athletes, such as Beezie Madden, Greg Best, Ray Texel, and Alison Firestone. Mike's innate ability to teach every level of riding with the same precision and enthusiasm makes him a prized member of the Lionshare training team.

“I can’t imagine Lionshare Farm without Michael,” said Leone. He adds a wealth of knowledge. He makes the Lionshare Farm team that much more effective.”

Elizabeth Pandich is an affable and energetic trainer who has had the opportunity to train with Andre Dignelli and Kip Rosenthal. Pandich, who has been with Lionshare Farms for nearly three years, was a top amateur in the jumpers, before going professional. As a professional, she’s guided her clients to qualify to compete at indoors, Devon and Pony Finals. She is a gifted rider and trainer.

“Lionshare Farms is very much like a family. We’re open about everything- whether one of us is a primary coach, we help each other,“ confided Pandich. “I like having Peter or Mike come to the ring for a new set of eyes. Everyone cares about every rider and every horse. We’re always working together to achieve the same goals. We all share the same principals about riding.”

Leone shared, “Elizabeth adds a wonderful, positive and light-hearted feel to the Lionshare staff. She’s a solid rider and trainer. I knew from the first day I met her, it was a good fit.”

The Lionshare Farm show schedule announced in April, has already proved successful. Jeanne Hobbs, a professional who trains with Leone, was Champion of the Farm Vet Level Five Jumpers and Third in the $40,000 Grand Prix at Culpeper.

Just last week at Princeton, Kiva Iscol, a long-time client of Lionshare Farms showed her classic style by piloting Julius to the win of the M&S Farnam Adult Medal. Iscol and Julius also had great ribbons in the Amateur Owner Hunter Division. Lionshare Farms’ Anisette and Parker Wright earned the Reserve Championship of the Green Pony Hunter Division, winning under saddle and an over fences class. Wright also paired with Julius to garner the blue ribbon in the M&S Children’s Medal.

Peter Leone is an Olympic equestrian, trainer, producer of hunter/jumper instructional DVDs and author. He owns and operates Lionshare Farm in Greenwich, CT. His clients successfully compete in the pony, equitation, hunter and jumper divisions. He is one of three brothers, internationally known as Team Leone, for their success in the show ring. Leone was a member of the 1996 Silver Medal United States Olympic Show Jumping Team and winner of numerous national and international Grand-Prix show jumping competitions. He is the author of the upcoming book, Peter Leone’s Show Jumping Clinic: Success Strategies for Equestrian Athletes and the producer of the DVD, Ride the Body: Select Insights of Peter Leone.
