Landfair Farm Joins South East Medal Finals as Barn Sponsor

Jacksonville, FL – June 27, 2012 – Landfair Farm is proud to join the First Annual Southeast Medal Finals September 21-23, 2012 at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center in Jacksonville, FL as the Barn Sponsor.

Landfair Farm is a family-owned horse boarding and training facility located in the Jacksonville/St. Augustine area. Their top-of-the-line facility features arenas, barns, tackrooms and turnouts designed with their clients’ horses in mind. Landfair Farm is well known for their immaculate care and horse boarding throughout the North Florida region.

“I live in the area,” Landfair Farm Owner and Trainer Keith Alaimo explained. “The Jacksonville Equestrian Center is an efficient facility that the community should know about. I feel strongly about the fact that people in the surrounding community, like myself, should help out with events such as this, it helps to promote the area.”

Alaimo originally began riding as a child in Rochester, NY. His father owned racehorses, and every time they would venture to the track, Alaimo was lost in the horses behind-the-scenes, rather than the race itself.

“I found that I couldn’t stay away from the horses. I took a couple of breaks during college, but my desire to continue working with them was unavoidable. I took a position at Bill Schaub barn in Orlando for five years teaching, riding, and traveling to shows. It was a great experience and I learned a tremendous amount,” Alaimo continued. “I kept finding myself back in northern Florida though, and I began Landfair.”

Landfair Farm is home to 20 acres with beautiful pastures, as well as 19 stalls. Alaimo mainly caters to the hunter/jumper and equitation riders. Landfair Farm’s top priority is the well being of their horses.

“I have known Susie Rindal for years,” Alaimo explained of his friendship with the Marketing Director of the Southeast Medal Finals. “She originally began pushing for me to become a sponsor a few months ago, and I am thrilled that she opened my eyes to everything it could provide.”

“I wish I had students competing in the Southeast Medal Finals this year, but I will be there to show my support for all of the other riders. I am hoping that it all goes off well and becomes a regular event. I think it will get a positive outlook for the whole area as an equestrian destination,” Alaimo concluded.

The Southeast Medal Finals is hosted by one of the premier equestrian facilities on the east coast, the Jacksonville Equestrian Center. It is centrally located for USHJA Zone 4 and Region 3 competitors. The complex includes a network of adjacent trails, available to explore and enjoy for a casual hack during horse show down times. Highlights include the Southeast Junior 3’ Medal Finals, Southeast Adult 3’ Medal Finals and the Region Three ASPCA Maclay Regionals.
