Release Date: 2012-08-14

North Salem, NY – August 14, 2012 – The American Gold Cup, one of the world’s most prestigious show jumping classics, announced today that EquiFit has joined forces as the Official Legware Provider for this year’s event.

The American Gold Cup returns to action in September at its new home at Old Salem Farm, in North Salem, NY. The show is scheduled for September 12th through the 16th, 2012, with the famed $200,000 American Gold Cup, CSI4*-W, a FEI World Cup Qualifying Competition, as the highlight event on the final Sunday.

EquiFit’s mission is a genuine commitment to horses and riders. That commitment drives this innovative company to seek new and better ways to help them perform, recover, be comfortable and succeed at all levels. The EquiFit unique blend of ingenuity and horse world expertise allows them to continuously adapt premium innovations in healthcare and fitness to the needs of equestrians. The result: distinctive products for high performance both in and out of the ring.

“EquiFit is excited to partner with the American Gold Cup, one of the oldest and most storied horse shows in U.S. Show Jumping,” said Alexandra Cherubini, the President and Founder of EquiFit, Inc. “The past winners of the Gold Cup are the top athletes in our sport and we are proud to partner with a show that continually produces the best of the best.”

“We are delighted to have EquiFit join us as the American Gold Cup comes back to life at its new home at Old Salem Farm,” said Michael Morrissey, the President of Stadium Jumping, Inc., the organizers of this year’s event. “Alexandra has never hesitated to support equestrian sport in this country and we thank her for her commitment, and that of EquiFit, to this year’s American Gold Cup. They are a quality company, offering quality products,” he noted.

“We feel that our products stand apart in the equestrian industry for their quality and integrity, so it's only fitting that we support the American Gold Cup, one of our nation's premier show jumping competitions,” Cherubini said. "We place a high value on the traditional and historical elements of our sport. We try to support those elements in our product line, by offering a unique blend of tradition combined with high performance technology. EquiFit stands apart in the way that we work with top riders, taking products from the health care industry and applying them to the equine athlete. We are excited to be a part of continuing the show jumping tradition at this year's American Gold Cup."

EquiFit continues to raise expectations by pairing innovative designs with highly advanced materials. Their Research and Development team is always on the lookout for ways to deliver the most competitive and sound solutions.
