Samshield to Debut New Riding Gloves at American Gold Cup

Written by: Kenneth Kraus
Client: Morrissey Management Group (MMG) http://www.stadiumjumping.com/sj/index.cfm
Release Date: 2012-09-08

North Salem, NY – September 7, 2012 – The American Gold Cup announced today that Samshield has added an additional sponsorship and have also chosen the American Gold Cup as the site to debut their brand new gloves, the New Samshield V-Skin.

The show is scheduled for September 12th through the 16th, 2012, with the famed $200,000 American Gold Cup, CSI4*-W, a FEI World Cup Qualifying Competition, as the highlight event on the final Sunday.

After a longtime demand from their partner riders, Samshield has created their first riding gloves, the “V-Skin Vented/leather/silicone/Lycra”

Samshield has followed the same strategy for their new gloves that they used when they created their highly successful premium helmet.

First, they analyzed existing product on the market, and then made a large survey with plenty of riders before starting the design. When surveyed, all of the riders answered that they would like improvement regarding durability, breathability, grip, flexibility, thinness, design.

After one year of hard testing with France’s Kevin Staut, the Samshield V-Skin gloves are now available.

It is made of 4 different materials placed at the smartest position in order to give the best answer to demanding riders. The ultra thin perforated lambskin leather offers maximum comfort, airflow and lightweight. The strong suede fabric base fingerprinted with real silicone offers exceptional added grip, hand-to-horse connection and flexibility as well as extreme durability. Also, the strong version of Lycra offers extreme flexibility for a high end comfort and constant fitting. Finally, the Spandex size is doubled in order to always get a perfect fitting with the wrist.

“Samshield is the result of a mix between the pro and amateur rider's needs, the young designer's creative energy and engineer's technical vision. Samshield's philosophy is to always propose advanced products in terms of active and passive security, comfort, hygiene, material and finish quality as well as customization,” explained Julien Lecomte President of Next One LLC, the Samshield distributor for North America.

The all new gloves will be available at the Samshield display booth on the grounds at the American Gold Cup.

Julien Lecomte also reported that the company has added the sponsorship of the opening day Samshield $2,500 1.35m Jumpers as well.

“Our goal with this sponsorship is to support our local and nationally sponsored riders, to work with Old Salem Farm, Frank Madden and his team and to meet our customers and future customers at this great American show jumping event,” Lecomte said.

The American Gold Cup returns to action on September 12th through the 16th, 2012, with the famed $200,000 American Gold Cup, CSI4*-W, a FEI World Cup Qualifying Competition, as the highlight event on the final Sunday.
