Floridian Community Bank to Sponsor Free Clinic For USHJA Zone 4 Riders

Written by: Emily Riden
Client: USHJA Zone 4 Free Clinic
Release Date: 2013-01-11

Wellington, FL – January 11, 2013 – Floridian Community Bank has teamed up with the USHJA to present an exceptional opportunity for USHJA Zone 4 riders of all levels. The Palm Beach County community bank chain is thrilled to offer riders the opportunity to participate in the Floridian Community Bank USHJA Zone 4 Clinic with clinician Cynthia Hankins at absolutely no cost. The clinic will be held February 25, 2013 at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center in West Palm Beach, FL.

Sponsoring the clinic was a natural fit for the bank, which has previously supported other equestrian events and currently sponsors a team at the International Polo Club, but has been looking to become even more engaged.

“The bank has been looking to get more involved in the local equestrian community, and I felt like this would be a really good opportunity,” said Chris Gilman, Floridian Community Bank, Palm Beach County Advisory Board member and volunteer for the clinic. Gilman, a client of Floridian Community Bank, has high praise for the company, and was the catalyst in securing the sponsorship.

“Floridian Community Bank meets the banking and financial needs of Wellington and the surrounding communities while maintaining that comfortable, local feel,” JoAnne Dee, Vice President and Manager of the Wellington branch of Floridian Community said. “So getting involved with local residents and the equestrian community is of the utmost importance to the business.”

“It’s dollars put to good use,” Dee remarked. “It’s mutually beneficial. They need our support for both the event and the education they are promoting.”

With a set budget for Zone 4, sponsorships like that of Floridian Community’s are vital to securing quality clinicians like Hankins, Gilman noted.

Hankins brings to the clinic a wealth of knowledge and years of experience riding and showing in the equitation, hunter and jumper rings. In addition to an illustrious riding career of her own, Hankins has served as an “R” judge for over 30 years, having judged all of the major equitation finals. In 2012, Hawkins was a clinician for the USHJA’s Emerging Athletes Program, and has appeared as a guest trainer on, as well as producing the acclaimed DVD, “A Day at the Finals.”

“I think this is going to be a really outstanding clinic for Zone 4. We have an outstanding clinician in Cynthia,” Gilman stated. “We have all the makings for a really great event.”

Rider openings for the clinic are available to Zone 4 riders only on a first come, first serve basis by contacting Chris Gilman at Auditors and spectators are also encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and to come out and watch at no charge. Stabling will be available upon request.
