Wellington, FL– February 5, 2012 – The Landowners of The Equestrian Preserve (LOEP) is a new member-based organization that has been created to maintain the Equestrian Preserve’s current unique status as an equestrian-dedicated area. Membership is open to everyone who owns land in the Preserve, and it is free. A cocktail party will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 6 p.m.– 8 p.m. at The Wellington Equestrian Gallery and Mall at 13920 Wellington Trace. This will offer Landowners an opportunity to meet their neighbors, and learn more about this important new powerful group that protects their unique life style.

LOEP is a politically neutral group with interests only in the preservation of the Equestrian Preserve. The Landowners must all be alert to actions that challenge and change how they now live and work, and which threatens the equestrian protections they now enjoy. Keeping Landowners informed and supporting their voices on issues affecting the Preserve is the goal of LOEP.

LOEP will be managed according to one landowner: one vote regardless of how large or small the member’s property is. They will have meetings when needed to keep members informed and to get ideas on issues that affect them, but most of the work and communication will be via the Internet so membership doesn’t require much time. Members will receive e-mail information from LOEP and will be asked if they want to vote on relevant issues being considered by the Village Council and other agencies and organizations.

As landowners in the Equestrian Preserve, members need to be an active part of this new group. There are over 1,000 property owners of 9,000 acres within the Equestrian Preserve, an area truly unique in the country. Many of the members are not year round residents, making it very difficult to stay current on events that affect their properties and lifestyles. They need a strong and effective voice to represent their interests, and the LOEP will do just that.

Please join LOEP at a cocktail party on Wednesday February 20th, 2013 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at The Wellington Equestrian Gallery and Mall at 13920 Wellington Trace. Please call 561-904-9494 or email to request more information about the group.
