Lorrie Browne Interiors Uses Crisp Colors and Tropical Textures to Transform a Blank Slate

Written by: Carrie Wirth
Client: Lorrie Browne Interiors
Release Date: 2013-04-17

Wellington, FL – April 17, 2013 - Lorrie Browne Interiors has tackled many projects during their 15 years in business. They pride themselves on translating their clients’ tastes into stunning interiors. Their projects run the gamut from helping clients integrate their Northern home furnishings into their Florida homes, to renovations, new construction and everything in between.

“I feel very fortunate to have developed a successful career as a designer,” said Browne.  “It’s endlessly rewarding to thrill our clients and see the before-and-after transformations. As a matter of fact, the more challenging the ‘before,’ the better.  But the most important element is the relationship with our clients.  If they can clearly communicate to us what their goals and preferences are, and they are willing to trust in the process, great things can happen.”

Browne finds that the off-season is the ideal opportunity to transform Wellington homes. It provides the perfect timeline for projects to be completed and ready for the client to return the following season.

“We enjoy the challenge of each and every project,” said Browne.  “They are all as unique as our clients.  In the case of the project featured here, it was pretty much a blank slate.  Our clients bought a home in Wellington because one of their children is involved in the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival.  We knew our special turnkey installation service would be perfect to ensure all furnishings, linens, kitchen supplies and personal items were in place and ready to use on arrival.”

The project started with a neutral palette including a tile floor and lots of windows begging to be dressed.

“I loved the space the first time I saw it,” Browne exclaimed. “The light was just pouring in which allowed the perfect balance for the vivid tropical tones the clients favored. We specified a dark wood floor to warm up the space and used bright aqua, lively green and succulent coral fabrics to bring the room to life.”

The upbeat palette pulls the living and dining areas together.  The daughter’s bedroom is colorful and age-appropriate in subtle blues and greens.  The guest room features a West Indies look with cobalt blue and white.  And finally, the master suite, features powdery blues, teals and washed woods for a restful retreat.

“Each client and every home presents us with the opportunity to create gorgeous yet graciously inviting surroundings that reflect who they are and how they live,” she explained. “It’s challenging and fun and we look forward to working with our Wellington clients for many years to come!”

Lorrie Browne Interiors creates beautiful, gracious and eco-friendly interiors that reflect the tastes, preferences and lifestyles of their clients. Ideal for people on the go, their services include communication tools to keep clients abreast of the project every step of the way to ensure projects move forward without disruption. From concept to completion, every last detail is planned and implemented by the Lorrie Browne Interiors team of talented artisans, top-tier vendors and reliable tradespeople.

Clients rave about the customer-driven approach Browne and partner Tim Chance have built based on commitment to quality, attention to detail and process-driven business approach.
