Twenty-seven years ago, the Fieldstone Show Park was built to accommodate one-day horse shows. As time went by, the demand and focus of Fieldstone shifted to multi-day events. During the fall and winter of 2012, the Fieldstone Show Park started an ambitious two-year reconstruction project. These improvements include The Vendor Village, raised VIP Pavilion and Trainer/Rider Pavilion, a 16-foot high stone lighthouse created for videotaping the Grand Prix Field, as well as stabling, GGT Sand All-weather Felt Footing, infrastructure and competition coordination improvement.

The Fieldstone Show Park is best known for its immense all-grass Grand Prix Field, and hunter riders will have their time in the grass for the approaching hunter derbies. The first week of the Fieldstone Summer Showcase offers the $10,000 GGT Footing 3’3” Hunter Derby and the $2,500 Fieldstone 2’9” Hunter Derby. Ponies will descend on the Fieldstone Show Park for the $2,500 Pony Hunter Derby, where the ponies will compete over the traditional hunter course on the field in preparation for the second week’s $5,000 NEHJA Pony Hunter Derby Finals.

The Third Annual New England Hunter Derby Finals will take place during the Fieldstone Summer Showcase II, welcoming riders to take on the battle of the best as they vie for the lion’s share of the prize money, as well as the coveted bragging rights. The three divisions for the finals have something for riders of all levels; the $15,000 NEHJA GGT Footing 3’3” Hunter Derby Finals, $10,000 NEHJA 2’9” Hunter Derby Finals, and the $5,000 NEHJA Pony Hunter Derby Finals.

In order to qualify for these prestigious classes, riders must have entered, shown, and completed at least one respective Hunter Derby in the New England states. With a large purse and beautiful courses on the picturesque grass Grand Prix Field, these events are a “can’t miss” opportunity.

The Fieldstone Show Park is pleased to welcome back Philip J. DeVita, Thomas Hern George Heston and Eric Hasbrouck as course designers throughout the two weeks of competition. DeVita will design all of the Grand Prix Field courses for the first week of competition, while Eric Hasbrouck will take over on the grass field for the NEHJA Hunter Derby Finals. The Fieldstone Show Park would also like to welcome Carol Coleman, Kevin Eufemia, Lisa Forman, Karin Immerman and Jay Mullen as judges for the Fieldstone Summer Showcase I. Susan Ashe, Paddy Downing-Nyegard, Peter Stoeckl and Steve Wall will join as judges throughout the second week of the Summer Showcase.

Conveniently located only 28 miles south of Boston in southeastern Massachusetts, The Fieldstone Equestrian and Show Facility is the pinnacle equestrian facility in the New England region. The exceptional competitions provide a great opportunity for exhibitors, owners, and trainers to experience something new and different from their standard horse show destinations. The Fieldstone Show Park is well known for its beauty, and is the perfect option for competitors looking to provide their horse with some fresh air and a change of scenery as they compete amidst the tranquil environment. The show is easily accessible from Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, and everywhere in the Northeast region.

While competing at the Fieldstone Show Park this summer, exhibitors and their families will also have the opportunity to explore Boston and Cape Cod, as well as taking a short drive to the Plymouth waterfront to where exhibitors can experience whale watches and visit historic Plimouth Plantation and The Mayflower.
