Draper Therapies Sponsors MHJ Young Adult Medal Finals and Best Foot Forward Award at the Fieldstone Summer Showcase

Release Date: 2013-07-30

Halifax, MA – July 30, 2013 – Riders are preparing for the quickly approaching Fieldstone Summer Showcase, which will return for two weeks of top competition at the Fieldstone Show Park from August 14 – 24, 2013. The Fieldstone Show Park is the home of the Massachusetts Hunter Jumper Association (MHJ) Finals. These equitation championship classes take extensive qualification, which exhibitors work diligently for through the year. This year, Draper Equine Therapies will sponsor the MHJ Young Adult (18-35) Medal Final, and the Best Foot Forward Award.

Draper Therapies is the brainchild of Kristin Draper, a woman on a mission to provide a creative, strong and essential product for both animals and humans. She graduated from Fisher College in Boston, Mass., and has attended both the NC State Textile Fundamentals programs and the MIT Greater Boston Executive Program in Business Management. She is the President and Founder of Draper Therapies, and the world-renowned Celliant® product used for horses, cats, dogs and humans was her experiment.

From the start Draper knew she wanted to be a part of the family textile business, Draper Knitting Company, and she took the equestrian therapeutic market to a new level with Celliant®, the world’s most technologically advanced fiber made with a proprietary blend of minerals which have been extruded into a polyester fiber. Celliant® encourages not only alleviation of pain and other negative symptoms, but an actual improvement of the body's natural systems. Celliant’s oxygen studies were done independently by three separate doctors, and all tests came to the same conclusion, that Celliant® increases tissue oxygen levels which has been shown to increase performance, relieve pain and improve muscle recovery. Products containing Celliant® have no adverse effects as they work directly with the body to enable it to be more effective and as such can be used continually. It works with the body to help it do what it does naturally.

The all-American company is thrilled to sponsor the steadily approaching MHJ Young Adult Medal Final. Draper Therapies Product Manager, Becky Shipps explained, “When we saw that Fieldstone had available sponsorships, we jumped at the opportunity. I have done some showing there myself, it is a beautiful facility and a great show that is a lot of fun. We jumped at the opportunity to sponsor the MHJ Adult Medal Finals; we wanted give back to the riders who have worked so hard to qualify. These teams of horses and riders work so hard, and we want to be able to support and cheer them on.”

Shipps continued, “We are very excited about our sponsorship, the age group we are sponsoring is out target age group and demographic for our products. The Celliant® in our products help people to age gracefully. I know we all want to think that we are invincible, but just like our horses, after a long season of preparation, we need to recover. Our products help you do it seamlessly by helping your body work at its optimum. We provide textiles for animals and humans, and with the Finals here, we want everyone feeling good.”

Draper Therapies will also present the Best Foot Forward Award at the conclusion of the show series. They will be talking to people at their booth, as well as visiting the different show rings to judge the winners accordingly.

“The Best Foot Forward award is essentially a horsemanship award,” Shipps explained. “We want to see people being good to the horse they are sitting on or working with, and also being good to the people around them. Horse shows can be a very high stress thing, but it is supposed to be fun. Hopefully we are all having fun doing it. We are looking for people who are exuding joy for the sport, and great horsemanship.”

Conveniently located only 28 miles south of Boston in southeastern Massachusetts, The Fieldstone Equestrian and Show Facility is the pinnacle equestrian facility in the New England region. The exceptional competitions provide a great opportunity for exhibitors, owners, and trainers to experience something new and different from their standard horse show destinations. The Fieldstone Show Park is well known for its beauty, and is the perfect option for competitors looking to provide their horse with some fresh air and a change of scenery as they compete amidst the tranquil environment. The show is easily accessible from Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, and everywhere in the Northeast region.

While competing at the Fieldstone Show Park this summer, exhibitors and their families will also have the opportunity to explore Boston and Cape Cod, as well as taking a short drive to the Plymouth waterfront to where exhibitors can experience whale watches and visit historic Plimouth Plantation and The Mayflower.
