Halifax, MA – August 13, 2013 – The Fieldstone Summer Showcase will begin tomorrow at the Fieldstone Show Park in Halifax, MA, and continue through Saturday, August 24. The MHJ Finals will conclude the two-weeks series on Sunday, August 25. Twenty-seven years ago, the Fieldstone Show Park was built to accommodate one-day horse shows, but its demand and prestige has only continued to grow throughout the years, and after a well-deserved two-phase overhaul, the show grounds are sure to impress and bring in top competition during the Fieldstone Summer Showcase.

Any members of the media that require special interviews or any special assistance, or those that wish to cover this event, please contact Phelps Media Group, Inc. International on the grounds at the Fieldstone Show Park.

The Fieldstone Equitation Show will mark the beginning of the second week of competition on Monday, August 19. The show will offer several national series classes including the WIHS, USEF, ASPCA and THIS equitation classes.

The Fieldstone Summer Showcase II will welcome riders back to the Fieldstone Show Park from August 20 – 24, 2013. Junior and Amateur-Owner Jumpers will take their turn against the clock in the Grand Prix Ring, striving to take the top award in the $5,000 High Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic and the $2,500 Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic. The Children’s/Adult Jumpers will work throughout the week to ride to the top of the leader board during Saturday’s $5,000 Child/Adult Jumper Classic.

The two weeks of competition will also host the CMJ Sporthorse Exhibitor Party following the $15,000 GGT Footing 3’3” Hunter Derby Finals on Friday, August 23. The MHJ Medal Qualifiers Lobster Bake, sponsored by Purina Animal Nutrition and Hanson Grain, is free to all MHJ Medal Qualifiers; tickets are available for everyone else at the low price of $35 per person. The Lobster Bake will take place on Saturday, August 24. While enjoying the party, the dogs of the Fieldstone Show Park will also have their chance in the spotlight as they take on the Canine Puissance Competition, sponsored by SmartPak, at 5:30 pm. The entry fee is only $10 per entrant, and both ribbons and prize money will be awarded.

While competing at the Fieldstone Show Park this summer, exhibitors and their families will have the opportunity to explore Boston and Cape Cod. They can also take a short drive to the Plymouth waterfront to experience whale watches and visit historic Plimouth Plantation and The Mayflower.
