Celebrity Favorite IMPOSTER, Teams With Phelps Media Group to Make Difference In Lives of Animals

Wellington, FL – August 23, 2013 – Phelps Media Group is pleased to welcome animal friendly fashion and lifestyle company IMPOSTER to its client roster. IMPOSTER is dedicated to protecting the lives of animals and giving them a share of the fashionable products that they inspire. IMPOSTER falls into what is now being called the fourth sector, or a for-benefit corporation (also known as a B Corporation). With its powerful mission and beautiful products, IMPOSTER’s faux fur line quickly became popular among celebrities, with supporters including Sarah Jessica Parker, Dakota Fanning, Carrie Underwood and others.

“With IMPOSTER faux fur, when we see something beautiful, we honor its beauty. We don't take a life because we covet something it has,” IMPOSTER's founder, Jaclyn Sharp said.

Before hitting the shelves at such stores as Barneys, Henri Bendel, Nordstrom and Anthropologie, IMPOSTER got its start thanks to a Thoroughbred rescue horse named Draco. As Sharp worked patiently with the abused and emaciated ex-racehorse, he turned into the most athletic, trusting, incredible horse she had ever worked with. "He changed the course of my life," she explained.

Sharp was inspired to do more to help animals like Draco. From there IMPOSTER was born. The company’s IM symbol was created to mirror the stride of a prancing horse, and the diamond in the center is in honor of Draco, who has a perfect white star on his forehead.

"IMPOSTER was inspired by a horse, and the company’s mission is to protect the lives of these horses and animals,” Phelps Media Group President, Mason Phelps, Jr. said. “With our equestrian network and desire to see the best for the horse and the horse industry, working with IMPOSTER seems to be a perfect fit. In addition to joining with Phelps Media Group, IMPOSTER is proud to be working with The Humane Society of the United States and the HSUS’s Equine Protection Campaign. The Humane Society of the United States is the nation’s largest and most effective animal protection organization and together the sky is the limit for IMPOSTER and the animals it can aid.
