Heralded Lexington Horse Farms Join the Kentucky Experience!

Gainesway, Mt. Brilliant, Shadwell, Spy Coast and Winstar Farms will host tour groups from across the country during the Kentucky Experience.

A partnership of the Grayson Jockey Club Research Foundation, Phelps Media Group, Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital and the United States Hunter Jumper Association are pleased to offer an exciting new way to experience the Alltech National Horse Show and Central Kentucky. This experience will include free tours of famous Bluegrass area horse farms, a free tour of the world renowned Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital, free admission to all sessions of the Alltech National Horse Show, a free reception at the USHJA Museum, including an opportunity to meet some of the star riders of the hunter jumper world.

“The Kentucky Experience is an incredible opportunity for equine enthusiasts from throughout the United States to attend the award winning Alltech National Horse Show and to get a behind the scenes look at Lexington, the Horse Capital of the World.” – said Dr. Tom Riddle of Rood & Riddle, the official Equine Hospital and Veterinary Pharmacy of the Alltech National Horse Show.

On the morning of Friday, November 1, 2013 the Kentucky Experience will be headlined by tours of celebrated horse farms. Gainesway, Mt. Brilliant, Shadwell, Spy Coast and Winstar Farms will allow tour groups to peak behind their gates with tours of their legendary facilities. Following the farm tours, participants will visit the world famous Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital to see the care that is given to the best of the best. In the afternoon participants will return to the Kentucky Horse Park where they will able to watch the horse show and visit the many world class shops and vendors available during the show in Alltech Arena. At 4:00 PM Kentucky Experience participants will then attend the Rood & Riddle Sport Horse Symposium which will be held in the Visitor Information Center at the Horse Park.

Friday evening at 5:30 the United States Hunter Jumper Association will open the doors of their museum to host all Kentucky Experience attendees for a light cocktail reception, where they will have a chance to meet star riders from the hunter jumper world! Following the reception, it will be time to head to Alltech Arena for the Friday evening performance of the Alltech National Horse Show, including the amazing $50,000 Alltech Puissance. The Kentucky Experience promises to truly be a horse lover’s dream!
