Blackburn Architects Designed Sheik Island Farm Featured in Tampa Bay Times

Wellington, FL – May 21, 2014 – Sheik Island Farm was built by Blackburn Architects in 1997 for Kimberly Wilson and her father Patrick Michaels, both passionate equestrians. John Blackburn who leads the award-winning equestrian architectural firm is the author of Healthy Stables by Design. He incorporated his signature aerodynamic ventilation and hurricane proof features into the high-end equestrian facility.

Blackburn designs projects from coast to coast. Each location presents its unique set of geographical and weather challenges and diverse range building codes and regulations.

Blackburn is currently at work on 19 equestrian projects in 14 different states. The projects range from master planning to complete design and construction. Project construction costs of Blackburn current projects range anywhere from $500,000 to $10 million.
