John Blackburn Signs Books at Fairfield County Hunt Club Benefit Horse Show to Spread the Word from Healthy Stables by Design

Wellington, FL – July 25, 2014 – John Blackburn, founder of award-winning Blackburn Architects, has been traveling and sharing his extensive knowledge of safe environments for horses. Earlier this summer, he visited the Fairfield County Hunt Club Benefit Horse Show for a Wine and Cheese Meet and Greet after the $7,500 Poland Spring Welcome Jumper Stake, Presented by Nestle Waters North America.

Blackburn autographed copies of his book, Healthy Stables by Design, and discussed his approach to equestrian architecture that places the safety and well-being of the horse as the top priority. All author proceeds from the sales Healthy Stables by Design during the event weredonated to the EQUUS Foundation.

“We were very pleased to have John Blackburn present his new book, Healthy Stables By Design, at the Fairfield County Hunt Club June Benefit Horse Show,” said Sean Hogan, show co-chair. “He made a wonderful contribution to our show and exhibitors by sharing his ideas on the creation of environments to encourage healthy horse living and, by analogy, a rewarding ownership and human/equine interaction."

Blackburn has designed stables across the country and is currently at work on 19 projects in 14 states for varying equestrian disciplines. Look for notices on Blackburn’s upcoming appearances at Manhattan Saddlery and the American Gold Cup.
