Lewisburg, WV – August 22, 2014 – Cherry Knoll Farm proved to be a dominant force in both the Open and Junior Angus competitions at the 2014 West Virginia State Fair ROV Angus Show in Lewisburg, West Virginia.

The Wright siblings, Logan and Lexi Wright, of Philippi, West Virginia, had an outstanding week with their Cherry Knoll bred cattle! Logan kicked it off with a big win, capturing the Intermediate Champion Heifer Cherry Knoll Lady 1356, an April 2013 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303. Logan also went on to win the Junior and Grand Champion Female title with Cherry Knoll Lady 1356 during the Open Angus Show.  Logan continued to win with the Reserve Grand Champion Cow Calf with Cherry Knoll Elsa 1205.

In the Open Female Show, Cherry Knoll Lady 1410 was named the Junior Calf Champion, while Cherry Knoll Rosebud 1367, owned with Savannah Levisay, was named Senior Calf Champion. The Reserve Intermediate Champion Heifer went to Cherry Knoll Ellie 1358.

Cherry Knoll Total Product, owned in partnership with Matt Mitchell, was named Senior Bull Calf Champion while CKF Kay’s Product, owned with the Wright Family was named Reserve Junior Bull Calf Champion.

During the Junior Angus Show, the Wright siblings didn’t slow down with the wins as they dominated the competition with their entries.

Lexi Wright led LVS Cherry Knoll 1320 to the Grand Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion Female titles.  LVS Cherry Knoll 1320 is a November 2013 daughter of Flags Cross Country. Lexi also won the Junior Champion Heifer with Cherry Knoll Elsa 1301, a March 2013 daughter of Cherry Knoll Ideal Product.

Cherry Knoll Farm is home to owners Bob and Margaret Duprey. Margaret’s passion for livestock comes together in the love of her top quality herd of Angus cattle as well as Grand Prix dressage horses and top-tier show jumpers. The Dupreys owns their West Grove, PA, farm as well as a beautiful stable for their horses in Wellington, FL, where Margaret competes during the winter. In owning top-level cattle and horses, Margaret is fulfilling her childhood dream, and she is thrilled at the success.

The Dupreys and manager Tim Fitzgerald operate Cherry Knoll Farm on the “quality not quantity” philosophy, and their personal attention to detail is the secret to the great success they have experienced breeding and developing Angus cattle that are competitive on the national level.

Although Duprey was not onsite for the show, she was thrilled with the outcome. “I was very excited to hear of the great success the juniors had at the West Virginia State Fair Show. I want to thank all the team for making it such a successful show.”

The Cherry Knoll operation is managed utilizing time-proven beef cattle production practices combined with progressive genetics and technology.  Unbeatable customer service and a reputation for honesty and integrity complete the Cherry Knoll brand.  For more information, please visit Cherry Knoll Farm’s website at
