Amateur Hunter Rider Elizabeth Corey Sings Praises of Messenger Hill Farm

Written by: Carrie Wirth
Client: Messenger Hill Farm
Release Date: 2014-12-05

Wellington, FL - December 5, 2014 - Messenger Hill Farm maintains high standards in the operation of their hunter/jumper barn and the care of their horses. Trainers Jodi and Freddie Vazquez keep a one-to-three ratio of grooms to horses, feed non-GMO feed and have trainers on staff who keep their lesson program going while they are out of town. They have invested over half a million dollars in footing at their facility. Messenger Hill Farm travels with their team, which includes a veterinarian, farrier, massage therapist and acupuncturist to keep the care consistent. The focus on quality they provide for clients and horses has not gone unnoticed.
Four years ago, Elizabeth Corey, an amateur hunter rider from Lake Forest, Illinois, was looking to make a change to a new barn. She took note of the Messenger Hill horses' turnout and the Vazquezes' coaching style ringside.
"I went to Messenger Hill because I really respected how they got their horses to the ring," said Corey. "I wanted to go to a place that took care of their horses. Their horses performed great, their riders performed super. I was impressed. I made the right choice."

Now Corey travels and shows her three-foot hunter, Junior, with the Messenger Hill Farm team, and she's thrilled with the program.
"They always bring their A-game and their best treatment of the horses and athletes," she said. "They care for the horses and the way the horses go and try to anticipate everything. Also, I appreciate their comments and training of the riders and their focus on fitness and coming to the ring prepared. It's just a fantastic program."
Corey is particularly pleased with how her riding has improved since she started with the Vazquezes and Messenger Hill Farm.
"They press me at every lesson, and they challenge me to be the best I can be," Corey said. "I have never ridden this well."
