Phelps Media Group Expands Team with Seasonal Hires

Wellington, FL – January 16, 2016 – Phelps Media Group (PMG) is proud to welcome five new staff members to the leading equestrian public relations firm’s team for the winter season.

The addition of seasonal staffers Ilana Cramer, Allyson Lagiovane, Caroline Nickolaus, Jamie Saults and Jenna Sudol will allow PMG to continue to provide clients the highest-quality service, to further the company’s service offerings and to provide up-to-the-minute equestrian sport coverage on, and

Jamie Saults comes to the PMG and team with more than a quarter century of equestrian industry media experience. As an employee of Classic Communications, Saults has worked on site at such events as the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, the Hampton Classic Horse Show, the Pennsylvania National Horse Show, the National Horse Show, the Fair Hill International Three-Day Event, the Lake Placid Horse Show, four FEI World Cup Finals and numerous others. Saults also worked as on-site press staff at the 1990 and 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG).

Saults has an extensive television background, having served­ as an associate producer and researcher for more than 25 years for ESPN, NBC and ABC Sports at major events including nine Olympic Games, the 1998 WEG, all three legs of Thoroughbred racing’s Triple Crown and at every Breeders’ Cup Championship since its inception in 1984. Saults has also assisted on the broadcasts of all Wellington major grand prix competitions that have aired on ESPN and NBC Sports. 

Additionally, Saults television experience made her a valuable asset to both the U.S. Equestrian Team and the U.S. Equestrian Federation where she worked as a consultant in Public Relations and Television Production from 1995-2006. During that time she represented both organizations as the 2002 and 2006 World Equestrian Games (WEG) and the 2003 Pan American Games.

Joining the PMG team with an additional emphasis on are Allyson Lagiovane, Caroline Nickolaus and Jenna Sudol. Hailing from Fredericksburg, Virginia, Lagiovane is a sophomore at Ohio University (OU) where she is in the Honors Tutorial College majoring in Business Administration. Outside of the classroom, Lagiovane is the public relations officer for OU’s Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Equestrian Team, a founding member of the OU chapter of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority, a member of Select Leaders and of the Ohio Women in Business.

Jenna Sudol comes to Wellington, Florida from Virginia Tech where she is a junior studying public relations and equine science. She the public relations chair and an executive board member of the Virginia Tech Equestrian Club, a Public Relations Student Society Assocation (PRSSA) member and a Sigma Alpha sister. Sudol has previously held social media and marketing internships for the Virginia Tech College of Agriculture and Life Science, the Virginia Cooperative Extension and the Virginia Tech Licensing and Marketing Department. 

Returning to the PMG staff for the winter is Caroline Nickolaus. A junior at Palm Beach Atlantic University, Nickolaus has worked part-time for the company since early 2015 and has proved to be a valuable asset to the team. Nickolaus hails from Long Island, New York but currently resides in Wellington in order to ride and compete her two horses and to pursue her degree in pubic relations and minor in psychology. In addition to her work with Phelps Media Group, Nickolaus is an intern for The Plaid Horse magazine, a brand ambassador for the Pennsylvania National Horse Show and for Handy Hunter Boutique. 

Ilana Cramer comes to PMG from Weston, Massachusetts with a strong dressage background, making her a vital member of the team. Cramer graduated from the University of Vermont with degrees in Public Communication and Political Science, and she comes to PMG with a background in public communications and strategic branding, having previously worked at agencies ranging from small non-profits to corporations throughout the Boston and Vermont area.
