Renovate or Design Your Dream Arena with Wordley Martin Premium Equestrian Riding Surfaces!

Client: Wordley Martin
Release Date: 2016-06-14

Wordley Martin Premium Equestrian Surfaces provides arena architecture, construction, installation, custom footing & related equine facility products. Using a blend of footing and surfacing materials, Wordley Martin Equestrian offers premium performance horse riding rings in North America.

Wordley Martin is based out of Wellington Florida, and they have been building arenas since 2005 throughout North America. Their success is based on a deep understanding of the equestrian industry. Co-founders Craig Martin and Sharn Wordley both have extensive resumes in and out of the international show ring; Sharn, who is a full time professional show jumper, is currently ranked within the top 80 of the FEI World Rankings. Craig, who is retired from international competition, is the Managing Partner at Wordley Martin. He is also a licensed realtor with Wellington Equestrian Realty and truly understands the equestrian marketplace.

Wordley Martin designs and builds custom arenas and training surfaces for a variety of equestrian disciplines. Recent notable projects include a thoroughbred training track for Niall Brennan Stables (Nyquist's starting trainer) and a jumping arena for Australian event rider Clayton Fredericks, both in Ocala. Several outdoor jumping arenas in Wellington were recently completed for Irish Show jumper Andrew Bourns, as well as Louisburg Farm and Bella Equestrian. Two dressage projects were also completed for Pegaso Farm at their training facilities in Illinois and Florida (see attached ad featuring their Florida dressage arena).

This summer a large construction project is underway in Wellington for The Sky Group. Wordley Martin has redesigned the old grass jumping field and outdoor arena. Using laser grading equipment the entire 2.2 acres were excavated to provide the correct slope and a complete subsurface drainage system was installed to provide optimal performance. Wordley Martin then selected a specific heat resistant high yielding grass surface, which was installed to provide ultimate cushioning benefits for the horses which also provides low cost maintenance for the owners. The outdoor arena consists of an integrated drainage layer with a blend of sand and fiber footing carefully selected by Wordley Martin after consulting with the client based on their specific needs.

Happy horses equate to happy clients, and the feedback from Wordley Martin clients is consistently positive. International show jumper Andrew Bourns trained alongside fellow Irishman Daragh Kerins and Kevin Babington at their Wellington winter training facility until purchasing his own property in 2015. Wordley Martin completed Andrew's outdoor arena last October and he recently provided this feedback regarding his new riding surface.

"I produce and sell world class showjumping horses, when it comes to the footing that my horses work on at home, I am very uncompromising. Working with Wordley Martin has given me one of the nicest all-weather sand arenas I have had to date. My Wordley Martin ring provides the best protection for my horses when jumping up to a 1.60m, which gives me peace of mind while producing my horses to be their very best."

Your horse's health, soundness and longevity depend on the quality of your daily training surface. Whether your discipline is jumping, dressage, eventing or hunters, Wordley Martin arenas provide your horses an ideal environment to train and compete safely and confidently. Wordley Martin Equestrian has become the choice of amateur and professional riders, Olympians, USET members, Pan American Games medalists who value quality riding rings.
